Dr. Biju Basil completed his Psychiatry Residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine. During his residency, he received several distinguished honors, including Fellowships from the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology and the Stepping Stones Fellowship from the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. He was also recognized with the Research Excellence Award from Drexel University and the Resident Research Award from the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society.

Following residency, Dr. Basil served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine. During his tenure, he was honored with the Medical Director's Award for Clinical Excellence, the Faculty of the Year Award from Psychiatry Residents, and the Dean's Special Award for Clinical Teaching Excellence.

Dr. Basil currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he is actively involved in the training and mentorship of psychiatry residents. He has been selected multiple times as Faculty of the Year by graduating senior residents in recognition of his dedication to teaching and clinical mentorship.

In addition to his academic and clinical work, Dr. Basil is the author of a Psychiatry Board Preparation book and has contributed to more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. Basil earned his medical degree from St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, India, and completed his initial psychiatry training at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India, one of India's premier institutions for mental health and neurosciences training.
